While we didn’t go on any boat trips with our boating club during the Pandemic, we did get out on our own. We always went during the week, early in the morning and back by noon. That is the best way to avoid all the crazy people that call themselves boaters
We saw this boat as we cruised up the Caloosahatchee River

A little too modern for my tastes.
We also saw a couple of boats that apparently were abandoned

I bet no one is going to be real interested in leasing an appartment that looks out at this.
See this dock?

This is what happens when you don’t put the plastic wrap on your pilings.
After we were vaccinated, we even drove the boat to breakfast one morning. Yum, my favorite!
We enjoyed our little trecks and look forward to more….gotta keep that Albin running smooth!
It’s hard to believe folks just let their boats get into those predicaments .. or that DNR or the Coast Guard or someone doesn’t come around and require them out of the water .. but then, you have thousands … and we have a few. Yikes! And that Piling!! Reasons to keep your pilings in tip top shape! Great photos!
And it’s against the law to remove or even move abandoned boats in Florida. I figured salvaging those might be a good business. But I found out different when I looked it up a few years ago.
