So all is not leisure down here in Florida.  We do have to get out of the house and do some shopping for necessities.  Some of our favorite places are the Dollar Store and St. Vincent DePaul’s.

On our latest trip to the Dollar Store we were cruisin the isles looking for what ever popped into our basket, when I saw this

What the heck is potted meat?  Sounds appetizing doesn’t it?  So I just had to “Google” it. Google says: …..ingredients might include partially defatted cooked beef fatty tissue, beef tripe or pork brains.  Yum!  Good for you Armour for using every available part of the animal to make a profit.  And at only .50 a can….I think I’ll take a dozen!

Our next stop was St. Vincent DePaul’s.  This place is like Goodwill but better.  I don’t know if I ever mentioned in one of my previous posts, but when we bought the Navigator back in 2010, someone stole the turn table out of the microwave while it sat up in Michigan.  Well I am happy to report I finally found it down here in Florida  and for $1.99, I could have it.  Now how do you suppose that little turn table traveled from Michigan all the way to Florida?  These are not serving trays people!  Leave the turn tables in your microwaves!
