They have snails down here. 
A lot of them. 
They seem to come out when it is very hot and humid. One day they will be all over the place and the next day they’ll be gone. And see those little baby snails? If you’re not watchin where your steppin they go crunch! Euuuw! I hope the snail season is over soon.
Touch of Class 
They have their shells on at least. You’d hate to have Naked snails (are they called slugs?) … no crunch then, just squishhhhhhhh. Euuuuuw is Right!
By this chart, they might be Cuban land snails. Says they can sometimes be a pest. Watch out for the Giant African snail !
