They left their two doors wide open, the place had quite a few flying bugs in it.  You’d think they would have had the screen doors closed.

February 10, 2014 – Here are some pictures from the Navel Museum.  We are going to go back for the trolley ride, the fort and the light house, all located on the base.  Just a note.  After I took this first picture, the battery in my camera crapped out so the rest are taken with my cell phone.

January 31, 2014 – Here are some pictures from Fort Morgan that we visited.  I have never been to Fort Snelling so I found this quite interesting

They had a brochure you could follow and then there were letters through out the fort so you could get some explanation as to what things were.  For $14.00, a good deal I thought.  It was a little chilly but the sun was shining and there were lots of places to explore and climb.

Port of Sunnyside or Sunnyside Marina

This is our home port.  Sunnyside is located on the St. Croix River in Minnesota at approximately Latitude: 45.04213N Longitude: 92.79076W.  The Marina Manager, Rick Chapman, is the best.  Be sure to stop in and see him and Melinda in the office.  They can provide you with a wealth of information.  There is also a 20 ton travel lift and great mechanics on-duty 6 days a week.  Tim in the ship’s store can get you just about any part you need pretty quickly.  They have gas and diesel fuel and some supplies right at the gas dock.

We have slipped here since 1985.  Of course we think it is the best marina on the St. Croix. The boaters are all friendly and helpful.  We met some of our best friends there.   It is within walking distance of old downtown Stillwater.  There are many hotels and restaurants within walking distance.  Cabs will come to the marina to take you anywhere.  Stop in and stay a spell if you are in the area.  Check out their website http://www.sunnysidemarina.com.
