Last Day of Work

Last day of work.  Pretty anticlimactic.  That is good I guess.  One last fire to put out for Patrick and I am out the door.

Thank you Kelly & Lemmons for 13 years of working with some great people and some not so great (I won’t name any names :))  I will keep you all close to my heart.  Live long and prosper!

We Start The Adventure

Our time line of 5 years was coming quickly to a close. We put our house on the market in March and took off south to find marinas we wanted to call “Home”.  While we were traveling our house sold, after only 4 days.  Wow!  We were ecstatic.  Through the marvels of technology, we were able to approve and sign the acceptance papers of the offer.  We were off to a good start.  The house closed on April 28 with a minimum of problems.

This Minnesota spring was very slow to arrive.  We moved into a hotel on April 20th while we waited for the weather to turn so we could get some work done on the boat before we started our adventure.  Spring seemed to take forever to arrive.

Gary was working at Sunnyside Marina where we kept our boat so we hired out to have the boat given a professional wax and bottom paint.  We were finally able to launch the boat on May 18th and move on board.  Home again, home again, jiggy jig.

Preparing to Leave

I have chosen September 13th to be my last day at work.  I have hired my replacement and I am training her in.  I know I will be leaving Kelly & Lemmons in capable hands.

Gary is busy getting the boat ready for our adventure.  We have decided that September 30th will be our departure date.  He has much to do…..installing high water alarms, installing a fresh water wash down pump, putting back up the freshly cleaned curtains, installing new batteries, installing new electronics, the list goes on and on.  I am glad I have to go to work each day :).
