What I did on my Summer Vacation Part 10

Sure, we did other things besides camp while we were up North. We watched the grandkids….for a WHOLE weekend

What did we do with them besides tie them up in a closet until their parents came home? J/K

We bought some nerf guns because they already had theirs

with lots of bullets, then we put everyone’s first initial on the bullets so there wouldn’t be any fighting over which bullet was who’s. Then we set up a target range

We were lucky to have this nice fireplace as a back stop. No the items above the wood mantel were not part of the targets Mom. And we didn’t break anything

For dinner we bought them

Brat Balls

The pizza ones were the best. Say, when was the last time you had Brat Balls?

Some other fun things we did was

Do a family brunch at Lake Elmo in, which our kids graciously paid for but I bet after the got the unbelievably HUGE bill, they wished mom and dad had picked up the check LOL. But there were no food fights and they didn’t kick us out for unruly behavior so all was good.

We went to a championship baseball game and we just happened to know some of the players

Gary (and I helped), did some good deeds while we visited. He cleaned up all the head stones for the families

Had to borrow the shovel

We helped our son with the painting of his windows

I supervised and played gopher

Supervisors spot with coffee and entertainment

I got to see fireworks for the first time since we sold the house

oooouuuuu, aaaaaahhhhh

Plus we saw this giant turtle laying eggs on pier one. A first for me.

And now this was just funny

Look at the size of that universal remote. I hope we never have to have one of those LOL.

We also got to finally walk across the new Stillwater bridge

Half way point

It was quite impressive. The do need to get someone up here with some Swifters though

The spiders on the bridge were huge! I’d hate to have one of them jump on me as I walked by.

I was also a little concerned about the many cracks I saw in the bridge

I know there is freezing and thawing in Minnesota but kinda scary on the new bridge.

This was a surprise

A little medallion showing the border line between the two states.

And I couldn’t pass up a picture of one of our favorite places

Looks so impressive from up here. But not as impressive as this

Nothing like a sun rise

Plus we visited lots of friends and family before we took our last camping trip and headed home. Our summer vacation is coming to an end

WOW! That is the biggest remote I’ve ever seen. And I hope they have a warranty on that bridge. I pretty sure they aren’t suppose to crack for years. And as far as the Nerf guns I hope you bought bigger better and shoots more bullets.

Cool photos .. especially of Sunnyside and the new bridge!! Didn’t know you walked across it … still on my list of ‘to do’ things.
