What I did on my Summer Vacation Part 4

Those of you that love corvettes will hopefully enjoy this. No boat stuff at all, well….maybe just one little picture.

The Corvette Museum was at Bowling Green KY. There were no campsites and no water close by so we stayed at a hotel. But at least this museum let me take pictures inside. So here goes

This is the place that had that sink hole open up inside that sucked down a few cars. I hope there is stuff about that inside.

1953 Corvette chassis
1946 Stout Concept car. The first fiberglass automobile
1947 MG Roadster
These are from 1955, almost as young as I am. I think they might have held up better than me.
1961 corvette
Remember when people actually pumped your gas FOR you?
1967 in Gary’s favorite color
1973 Stingray
2015 Corvette race car. Do you think they could of washed it up a bit?
Budweiser, our favorite beer when we were younger
The three people in the picture were planning for some kind of reorganization. If you visit later, there may be some changes.
Here is what I wanted to see
This was one that fell down the hole but they were able to fix it up.
You can look down the hole. I don’t know about you but I think I would of filled that in with something.
Aaaaah! A boat. Even while looking at cars we find a boat.
2021 Corvettes

Now this is kind of cool. You can order your new corvette and then have it delivered to the museum. On the day it is ready for pick up, you come, tour the museum and at the end, your car is waiting for you to drive away. Each car has a plaque by it that says what kind of car it is, what color it is and then who the new owner is. When you arrive, they have someone sit with you and go over all the bells and whistles in your new car. And let me tell you, the dashboard looks like that of an fighter jet, so many knobs and dials. Ooooooh! Pretty.

And ya know Gary was so excited and surprised when I gave him his very own 2021 Corvette…..

T-Shirt! I know, I know, I am so generous

On to our next stop. My favorite spot of the whole trip.

What cool history! What’s the story with the smashed cars? It almost looks like smashed up race cars … or victims of the sink hole? Love Gary’s t-shirt!!! So does he!
    Great Photos!
