Now that our kids are gone and before the big bro from California visited, we squeezed in a boat trip with our boating club. We went to visit this marina
This place was the first place we went to on our maiden voyage with the club. Last time we went there, all the members were peeking out of their boats seeing how we, or should I say, Gary, pulled the boat into this very tight marina. He passed with flying colors of course. This time, we barely got a nod as they knew there was going to be nothing to look at when we dock
You can see by this picture how tight a squeeze it is. When we left, there was a house boat on the end of the dock that we all had to get around. Good thing the Captain knows what he is doing.
While we were there, we did our usual walk around the marina to see if we could spot any unusual boats. Our walks never fail us. We saw this house boat
You could hardly tell there was a door in the back
Later that day, as we were sitting around by the pool, I saw these….I don’t think you can call them boats, Gary said they are made out of surf boards
I can’t imagine they take them out where there is any kind of wave action, I think they would sink pretty quickly. Besides, too much sun for me ![]()
Although this marina is running under new ownership, they still had the boat taxi to the little island next door. As we had our boats at the marina, we could hitch a ride on that boat and check out the beach. Gary decided to take advantage of that opportunity
That’s him in the back….HI GARY! He and another couple had a lot of fun. The wife went looking for sharks teeth and the both the guys decided to take a dip in the Gulf. Unfortunately, two hard of hearing men and a lot of waves aren’t good for having a conversation. I’m glad I missed that LOL. The Gulf was a warm 82°, and just perfect for a swim.
It was pretty hot while we were there and we spent most days in the pool. I heard that there was a boat that had a pig on it. A pig! The boat was right next to the pool and they had a pig wind sock on it too. One of the people from the club came up by the pool with their dog and the pig on the boat came right up to the gate on the boat. His tail was a waggin to beat the band. Can you see him?
I hate to say it, but nobody ever saw the pig get off the boat. I hate to imagine where that thing is
I think I’ll stick with my cat.
We had a great time there and we’ll enjoy coming back sometime.

That’s a Beautiful marina! Nice that Gary had friends to go exploring with.
Did Gary see Dolphins this time? That is so neat!
A pig … who knew?!
Those surfboard things look like rentals.
They have numbers on the windshield.
If you can call that clear little thing up front a windshield.
Might be fun canal running.
And it looks like it has a canvas top that opens up.
