How We Hang Things

We have been searching for a “coat rack” for the condo.  Instead of hanging coats on chairs during the “colder” season, I wanted a place to hang the coats right by the front door.  I know, I know.  That is what the closet is for.  But you know what?  They don’t have coat closets by the front door like they do up in Minnesota.  If I want to hang up the coat, I have to do it all the way back in the master closet, and that is soooo far ya know ;).

Anyway, we finally found one we both agreed on and to sweeten the deal, we got it for 75% off!  Now that’s a deal!  So we got it home and Gary proceeded to measure and eye ball where it would be placed

Then we have to measure where the screws will go in

Right about here.

Then double check to make sure it will be hung in the right spotdsc01856

Of course there is always the little bit of modification to the product to make it fit properly

Gotta screw this a little bigger and round off those edges.

I think he likes to modify things just so he can use all his tools

A handy man's dream :)

But in the long run, it looks perfect

    Nicely done Captain.
    And nicely documented 1st mate.
I’m sure there is usually no need for coat most of the year so why have a closet.
