We left the marina at 8:45, luckily there was no ice this time.
People we had talked to described the TennTom as a ditch and they were right. It is a narrow, straight channel. I hope we don’t run into many tows while we are in the narrow sections, I’m not sure how we’ll pass them.
There were weird waffle things on the side of the river. Gary figured they were to catch the debris that came out of them.
We had a very short day today and arrived at Bay Springs Marina at 2:00. They charged us $66.88 for the night. This is the place that had really poor cell phone coverage and the closest town was 40 miles away. A little more secluded than we wanted to be plus there were alligators there!
Luckily he didn’t eat us. So it is early to bed early to rise even if we have a short day tomorrow, there are 3 locks we have to go thru. Sweet Dreams ya’ll!
